The much-awaited WhatsApp Business feature will be soon rolling out. As expected, WhatsApp will be launching a new standalone application for WhatsApp Business. The new app is already listed on Google Play Store, but it’s yet to be made public. In addition, WhatsApp also revealed complete details about how the WhatsApp Business app works in its updated FAQ section.
Like it was said earlier, WhatsApp business verified accounts would have a blue tick mark, indicating they’re verified accounts. “While chatting with businesses, you can check your contact’s profile to see which type of account they’re using. A verified account has a green checkmark badge in its profile,” WhatsApp wrote in the FAQ.
Also, a Business account with a green checkmark badge in its profile is verified as the acean authentic brand, and a business account with a gray question mark badge in its profile means the account is using the WhatsApp Business app, but the account is yet-to-be-verified by the company.
Aforesaid, the WhatsApp Business app is already live on the Google Play Store, but for now, WhatsApp is testing it by a group of testers, and it will be released to the general public in the coming weeks. And yes, it will be named as ‘WhatsApp Business.’
Currently, the description of WhatsApp Business app in Google Play Store states: “As a test partner for ‘WhatsApp Business’, you have early access to a wide range of new features that we’ve built with you in mind. As you experiment with what this new app has to offer, please share your experiences with us so that we can improve the product.”
There are some changes when it comes to the features. Firstly, the WhatsApp Business app has a different logo when compared to the normal WhatsApp application. But as reported by IANS, the interface of the WhatsApp Business application remains the same as our traditional WhatsApp.
“We also provide you with the tools you need to control your experience with businesses. You can block business accounts and report them as spam at any time, right within the chat,” WhatsApp said in the updated FAQ.
