Rolls-Royce has announced that it plans to launch an all-electric version of the Phantom in the near future which will be equipped with all the signature elements that a Rolls-Royce car is known for.
Regarding the company’s landmark move to altogether skip the hybrid plug-in stage and jump straight to fully electric vehicles, Rolls-Royce’s CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös said,“We will go full electric, we don’t do any interim steps. Emissions-free is emissions-free.”
He further revealed that the company is no hurry to bring the semi-autonomous ‘CoPilot’ feature created by its parent company, BMW, to its uber-luxury cars, as the technology is still in its development stage and once it is fully polished, Rolls-Royce will surely adopt it.
